Amy Walker Schott Exhibit and Artist Reception
The Ridgefield Library is pleased to announce a new solo art exhibit featuring the work of Amy Walker Schott, an artist who specializes in mixed media and multidimensional creations. The exhibit will run from July 18th through August 12th (the Library is closed on summer Sundays). Drop by and meet Amy at her Artist's Reception on Saturday, July 19th from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Light refreshments will be served!
Originally hailing from Connecticut, Amy earned her BFA from Syracuse University. She initially worked as an Art Director and Graphic Designer before fully dedicating herself to fine art.
Drawing on her graphic design background, Amy began to collect vintage found objects to integrate into her pieces. By combining these antique materials with wire, she crafts distinctive layers of vibrant imagery within her multidimensional shadow boxes. Her artistic methods result in truly original and stunning designs that captivate the viewer.
