"Bloomsday" at the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center

Join the Andy McGann branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann (pronounced “kol-tus kyol-tori air-in” and translates to “Irish musicians' fellowship"), for our annual "Bloomsday" event on Monday, June 16th from 6:30 to 9 pm at the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center, 6 Lake Avenue in Danbury!

"Bloomsday" is celebrated around the world every June 16th, and recognizes James Joyce's "Ulysses" and its characters Leopold & Molly Bloom, along with other characters from the book. At our annual Bloomsday event, we celebrate and commemorate all things "Bloom"! There will be dramatic excerpts read from "Ulysses", with music to complement the readings, libations from the pub bar, delicious tea and treats, in an environment to evoke one day in 1904 Dublin! Edwardian costumes are encouraged but not required!
