On November 3, Susan Jackson and Ellen Goldman will demonstrate weaving techniques on a floor loom and rigid heddle loom, as well as dive into the history of weaving here in Connecticut and around the world.
Susan Jackson is owner of local art schools Georgetown School of the Arts and Paint Draw & More, and she has been weaving for over 25 years. Ellen Goldman is a textile enthusiast, experienced weaver, and active member of the Handweavers' Guild of Connecticut.
Family Demonstrations are FREE for all visitors as part of free site admission on Sundays from October 6 through November 3. As part of free site admission, visitors can also take a 30-minute Highlights tour of the historic tavern museum.
