History Comes to Life with Sybil Ludington – Revolutionary Rider

Ridgefield storyteller and women’s studies scholar Dr. Darla Shaw will take on the role of Sybil Ludington.

Sunday, April 13 at 2 pm

Dr. Darla Shaw will take on the role of Sybil Ludington and her 40-mile ride to warn the soldiers that they need to get to Ridgefield and prepare for battle against the British.  Darla will also discuss other famous women from the New England area who served in a multitude of ways to help the colonists in their battle for freedom.

Free and open to the public. Donations are welcome.
