Anonymous Society is pleased to present If / Only / And / Then, a dynamic new exhibition featuring a dynamic new exhibition featuring work in painting, mixed
media, and ceramics by Sonja Langford (North Carolina / Connecticut), Faye Pamintuan (Philippines / Texas / New York), and Rachel Volpone (Connecticut). Running from June 5 through July 20, 2025, the exhibition traces how the language we carry—spoken, unspoken, imagined—shapes the course of our lives, offering a means to reauthor the self in moments of both fierce protection and quiet surrender, in pursuit of deeper becoming.
This show centers on the moments that define us—the decisions, disruptions, and relationships that shape identity in all its complexity. The featured art works engage with transformation, personal mythology, constructed identity, and the radical authorship of self in systems that have long erased, commodified, or distorted the female voice. If / Only / And / Then doesn’t seek resolution—it charts direction, carving out space through bold, deliberate acts of imagination.
Through diverse media, Langford, Pamintuan, and Volpone offer work that resists containment. Whether abstract, narrative, or conceptual, their practices ask how we locate ourselves—and each other—within shifting cultural landscapes. The exhibition invites viewers into an evolving dialogue about identity, memory, and possibility, offering a space where complexity is not only acknowledged but honored.
