7:00 PM Tuesday, February 4 via Zoom

Finding Harmony in the fight for Equality - Marian Anderson’s inspiring journey of music and civil rights.  She was a Danbury, CT trailblazing contralto and civil rights activist. From humble beginnings in Philadelphia to historic performances at the Lincoln Memorial, Anderson's journey was defined by her extraordinary vocal talent and unwavering commitment to breaking down barriers. Our presenter, John Cilio, highlights her rise to prominence in the classical music world and her pivotal role in the civil rights movement.
