Opening reception for Karen Neems: Orchestrated Realities

The exhibition Karen Neems: Orchestrated Realities features digital and mixed-media collage artworks by Neems that contain "orchestrated realities and perceptual puzzles." We hope you will join us for the artist's reception on Saturday, April 26th from 2 pm – 4 pm, which is free and open to the public. We'll have art, conversation, and light refreshments. The show runs during our regular business hours 8:30 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday from April 14th – July 3, 2025.

Karen Neems is an artist based in Stamford, Connecticut who has had numerous solo and group exhibitions at galleries and museums in the Northeast. Last year, she was among ten photographic artists included in an exhibition called In/Sight at the Carriage Barn Arts Center in New Canaan. Whether she is creating collages digitally or cutting and pasting prints and other media, Neems says she chooses “to use photography to explore the relationships between images I observe and record, rather than for its documentary aspect.”
