POETRY IN THE GARDEN - Voices from Marginalized America: Indigenous Peoples

Join us for the fifth season of POETRY IN THE GARDEN! This summer, the themed series features poets whose work gives voice to historically marginalized Americans. On July 7, we proudly present KIMBERLY BLAESER and DENISE LOW - two acclaimed poets whose work reflects the resilience and rage of America's Indigenous peoples. A book signing follows.
The evening will open with a performance of traditional dance, offered by NATASHA GAMBRELL, Tribal Councilor of the Eastern Pequot Nation.
Please bring a lawn chair or blanket. In the event of rain or a heat emergency, the readings move inside the Garden House. Fully accessible. Ample parking on site.
Poetry in the Garden 2025 is generously supported by Ridgefield Library, The Fountain Inn, Books on the Common, Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center, A.C.T. of CT, and Manhattanville University MLA in Creative Writing.
