*Saint Joseph Parenting Center is a non-secular, non-profit organization. The mission of Saint Joseph Parenting Center is to educate parents in the hopes of strengthening the family and breaking the cycle of abuse and neglect

Saint Joseph Parenting Center will be hosting an 9-week Women's Circle!

The Women's Circle is a support group for women to share, explore, build skills, and encourage one another to live authentically in mind, body, heart, and spirit. The topics focus on Self-love, self-esteem, being a well woman, and connecting with others. 

The self-care program will enable moms to learn other aspects of living a healthy life, including taking care of themselves in a way that they regularly neglect to do because they fear that it is overly indulgent. Our mothers, who are the primary caretakers, do not get opportunities to spend time on their personal needs and desires, they are the very things that speak to who they are or want to become.

Providing the self-care practicum to the mothers as a group is in line with research on ways to prevent child abuse and neglect. Research shows that an individual's insulation and isolation from society are contributing factors to child abuse. The more alienated a person feels, the greater their stress, and the higher the incidence of child abuse and neglect. One of the most important aspects of our program is the sense of community that exists among the participants.

Saint Joseph Parenting Center organizará un Círculo de Mujeres que dura 9 semanas.

El Círculo de Mujeres es un grupo de apoyo para que las mujeres compartan, exploren, desarrollen habilidades y se animen para vivir de manera auténtica en mente, cuerpo, corazón y espíritu. Los temas se centran en el amor propio, la autoestima, ser una mujer sana y conectarse con los demás.

El programa de autocuidado permitirá a las mamás aprender otros aspectos de cómo llevar una vida saludable, incluido el cuidado de sí mismas de una manera que suelen descuidar porque temen que sea demasiado indulgente. Nuestras madres, que son las cuidadoras principales, no tienen la oportunidad de dedicar tiempo a sus necesidades y deseos personales, que son precisamente las cosas que hablan de quiénes son o quieren convertirse.

Ofrecer la práctica de autocuidado a las madres como grupo está en línea con la investigación sobre las formas de prevenir el abuso y el abandono infantil. La investigación muestra que el aislamiento de un individuo de la sociedad son f xactores que contribuyen al abuso infantil. Cuanto más alienada se siente una persona, mayor es su estrés y mayor es la incidencia del abuso y el abandono infantil. Uno de los aspectos más importantes de nuestro programa es el sentido de comunidad que existe entre los participantes.
